About Alex Maltez

Julio "Alex" Maltez, is a bilingual Realtor® proudly serving clients throughout Maryland, Washington, DC., and Virginia. Born in Washington, DC., and raised in Maryland, Alex is the proud son of Mexican and Salvadoran families. Having lived, studied, and worked throughout Maryland, DC, and Virginia, he brings a deep understanding of the DMV area’s diverse real estate market.

Before beginning his real estate career in 2014, Alex built an impressive legal background as a Senior Paralegal and Litigation Paralegal at some of the region’s top real estate law firms. With decades of legal experience, he simplifies even the most complex real estate transactions, giving his clients confidence every step of the way.

In addition to traditional residential sales, Alex is highly respected within the real estate community for his expertise in handling short sales, estate sales, and bankruptcy sales.
Following the housing market crash of 2008, Alex witnessed firsthand the hardships many families faced due to foreclosure. Inspired by those experiences, he made it his mission to provide accessible, knowledgeable, and professional representation to every client.

Beyond real estate, He has been an active member of Edmonston’s Green Team and Ethics Committee since 2000. On June 10, 2026, he was proudly elected as the Mayor of Edmonston. When he's not helping clients, he enjoys staying active through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and fitness. He is also a big fan of mezcal.
